✔ Must be a resident of Jefferson County
✔ Recognized for outstanding leadership, community involvement, and volunteerism
✔ Contributions should be beyond their regular job duties
✔ Previous winners from the past five (5) years are not eligible

The Parade Grand Marshal is presented to a resident of Jefferson County who has made a positive difference through leadership, community involvement, volunteerism and overall public service to our County. These activities should be outside the duties of the individuals’ regular job. Previous winners from the past five (5) years are not eligible. If you know of someone deserving this honor, please complete the nomination below.


Feel free to upload additional documents if necessary. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, May 2, 2025 by 12:00 noon. The successful nominee will be decided by the Watermelon Festival Committee Members and must be available to ride in the parade on June 14, 2025. Please confirm that your nominee is willing to serve and is able to ride in the parade before submitting your nomination.

I nominate the above as Parade Grand Marshal for the following reasons. (Include the specific ways the nominee has contributed to as many different aspects of community life through leadership, community involvement, volunteerism and overall public service).
